Join us on our farm near Pickering (Postcode: YO18 8PE) for a hands-on trek through scenic countryside on the edge of the North York Moors!
What to Expect

Season: Runs annually from 1st April to 30th November (no winter walks).

Days & Times: Saturday and Sunday mornings only. Available dates are listed on our online shop.

Duration: Approximately 1 hour (may take slightly longer depending on group size).

The Experience: Every walk begins with an introductory briefing covering safety, animal care, and the key differences between alpacas and llamas.
Pricing & Walking Options

Single Alpaca Walker: £20.00
1 adult OR 1 child aged 10+ walking 1 alpaca.

Shared Alpaca Walk: £30.00
2 adults OR 1 adult & 1 child aged 8+ sharing 1 alpaca; two lead provided.

Llama Walk Duo: £40.00
2 adults walking 2 llamas. Please note: Llama walking is strictly adults-only due to their size.
Important Visitor Information & Rules

Age Restrictions: Suitable for adults and children aged 8 years and older. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children under 8 years of age.

Visitor Policy: NO spectators, prams, wheelchairs, or dogs are permitted on our walks.

Clothing: Please wear suitable walking boots or sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.
How to Book or Purchase Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers: Available to purchase via our online shop and valid for 12 months (issued via email).

Redeeming Gift Vouchers: To book a date using a voucher, please call us on 07729 282217. (Note: A minimum of 2 people and 2 alpacas/llamas is required per voucher booking).

By booking and participating in any of our walk experiences at Joe's Alpaca & Llama Walks, all participants agree to adhere strictly to the following terms, conditions, and safety guidelines.
1. Bookings & Payment

Advance Booking Only: All bookings must be made and paid for in advance through our online shop.

Non-Refundable Policy: All bookings are non-refundable.

Customer Cancellations: If you cancel your booking within 5 days prior to your scheduled walk, we are unfortunately unable to offer an alternative date or reschedule.
2. Weather & Weather Cancellations

Dynamic Weather: Walks take place outdoors in the countryside. Please dress appropriately for the weather and time of year.

Cancellations by Us: If we must cancel a walk due to severe or unsafe weather conditions, you will be offered an alternative date to reschedule. Refunds are not provided for weather cancellations.
3. Health, Safety & Risk Assessment

Safety Briefing: Our walks are safe provided all participants listen to and follow our staff's instructions at all times. Briefings are conducted before handling any animal.

Parental Responsibility: Parents and guardians must supervise and instruct children in their care throughout the entire duration of the walk.

Terrain & Footwear: Walks take place on active farmland with uneven terrain. All participants must wear sturdy, suitable walking footwear.

No Dogs Allowed: For the safety and welfare of our livestock, dogs are strictly prohibited on all walk routes and farm areas.
4. Gift Vouchers

Non-Refundable: Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash.

Upgrades: Vouchers may be upgraded when booking, provided any additional fee is paid in advance.
